Save Me from Myself!

People always hinted at models being dumb and beautiful. Or it seems beauty leaves a person the minute she acquires some brain power. I don’t know whether its true or not. But this news, UK rejects anorexic models, raises doubt about their brain power. It seems they have to be saved from themselves. And a group of hopeless bimbos need rescuing too who try to imitate them.

  1. We discuss “beauty” in terms of the physical self, as a comment on the post in here…

It is not without reason that the saying goes “health is wealth”…it is a fact that the term beauty, has been perceived differently, by different people…as they say “beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”…but then, the race to look beautiful, or rather in other terms “attractive”, has had a severe impact, on the thought processes, of many individuals…inasmuch that they may want to look good, they usually tend to harm themselves, in some way or the other…for example, perfectionists, are always pre-occupied in maintaining an order, which according to them is right…in doing so, they lose a lot of time, coupled with a loss of energy in different forms, which actually is required to enjoy life, in all its myriad aspects…eventually, they remain as frustrated souls, leading a false life…

Nothing can be perfect, because perfection is an illusion…philosophy says “we are already perfect” and all the efforts we seem to take, leads us inadvertently into a pseudo-perfect-illusionary state, which of course is temporary…

Now we discuss beauty as a state of mind…

The path to be taken then, should be towards beautification of the mind…as pointed earlier, “beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder”…we need to change the way we perceive things…and when we succeed, we acquire boundless joy, in appreciating everything the way it actually is…

“Nazrein badli to Nazarey badley…Kishti ne badla rukh…toh Kinare badley…”

    Summing up…

We are already beautiful and all we need to do is “smile”…
    …an icing on the cake…

    Stay beautiful…keep smiling…God bless you 🙂

P.S. Hope the beauty-mongers benefit somehow from these thoughts of mine.

  2. Hi,Alka…well,it’s high time that anorexic models be convinced to put on some weight,in all the right places.grin…then, they’ll be termed ‘beauties with brains’,na?:)

  3. Prancer, what a beautiful description. I started to think people like you no longer exist. But…And what you have written can’t be decipherable by half of the world. Otherwise we won’t have such problems in this planet.

AmitL, you are right. But they are beyond you and me. They need professional help.

  4. Side by side, I would like to comment on beauty leaves a person the minute she or he acuires brain power. That is true!. See all saints, monks, Gurudevas -have big beared and slim stature, even Mother teresa was slim. They are not beautiful at all. So all who gets beautiful and useful thoughts becomes physically beautiless. I trust that sentence.

Find out any person on your own, who has done excellent services in area of humanity they all will be….

    With due respect to everyone.

  5. Indian, if “beauty leaves a person the minute she or he acquires brain power” then I think we don’t need more and more headless beauties in this world. And anyway there are so many people who are beautiful both inside out and not only intelligent but super intelligent. Try to find out the I.Q. of Sharon Stone. As far as Mother Teresa or Medha Patkar see them when they were young.
“Find out any person on your own, who has done excellent services in area of humanity they all will be….” All of them were beautiful when they were young and have time to groom themselves. Its you who have to find out, not me. For a change why don’t you find out a bit more about Richard Gere, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie ?
