I have seen how Javed’s father was weeping and blaming doctors for negligence. This boy, who is sorry WAS still in his teens saved many childrens’ lives and has become a mere statistics in Meerut Fire incident. Now he will be added to the list of also died.
It never stir our concience when day in and day out we read “Blast in Srinagar. One/Two/three…. jawans died.â€? When vibrating, spirited lives are reduced to numbers, we never put pressure on media guys to at least tell us their names. They must be carrying one, given by their parents.
Sad!
indeed a very strong topic in today’s fast-paced, hectic, growth oriented, self centric life.
we feel everyone who is doing something is for his bread and butter and so nothing is great about it, but we dont realise that when in war, dealing with terrorist or in incidenced like the meerut tragedy, its not money, its the sheer feeling of humanity and feeling for the country , that these guys can face the bullet on their chest.

He is indeed a hero.
In a country where salman khan hogs all the limelight even when he’s in jail. It’s a pity that people like Javed are ignored.
I wish the government (event organizers) take some concrete saftey steps to prevent similar mishaps from happening in future .
I guess there comes a time for every kind of nicident or circumstance…no matter how dreadful… that we just get “Used to”. Maybe its this too. Read your reply to my comment on the last post. Well what can I say. I do OK. Graduating next month. so that’s that.
sometimes we should be lucky we have a feature called forgetfullness in us,
we go on, what ever happens, depending on our strength and the ppl’s support around us whatever the circumstance,
but with ppl like these, forgetfullness is just taken for granted….
Ash
saw the piece on tv . the kids father was inconsolable . it was so heart wrenching . he kept sayin that if javed wud have lived he wud have been a hero … *sigh*
“Paida hue thhe is watan ki sar-zameen pe,
lo aaj fanaa ho chale hein,
kaun yaad rakhta hei unn jaabaazon ko,
bus ek saans thhami, aur khaak ho chale hein…!
Salutation to Javed !
Hi,Alka…yes, that’s sad but true…every disaster/tragedy/death in war becomes a memory which is soon forgotten,a news story which sold a paper, but, will not make news if printed a second time.It haunts only those who are directly affected and lose a family member(s). And,I doubt that the situation will change in our lifetime.
I am writing on same my next post, BTW can you read my post as I just noticed ur comment about same.
A hero indeed. It takes a lot to do small acts of courage, and this man has given his life not in futility but by saving many lives! I wish he I knew him!
