  • Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram

I can’t help posting this. Those who are watching or reading news these days, need some solace. I thank Raymond for this divine distraction.

Watching Pratibha Patil taking oath as President of India, I was thinking how low will we stoop? But we have already sunk to the unfathomable depth of lowness as citizens. This woman, Sonia Gandhi, is deciding the fate of this country TODAY. For almost one and half decade, the same country was unfit for her citizenship. That too, while most of the time she was residing with the PRIME MINISTER of India. I really need to listen to this bhajan.

After watching this video, I have developed reverence for management fundas. 🙂

I’ve got this link from writingcave.com.

  • Maintaining First Rank in the Class

    A repost. 🙂

I remember a small girl. Exceptionally bright and naughty. I think in every primary school’s exam they follow the same pattern of sitting arrangement. One junior and one senior on a single bench. That naughty girl was in fifth class. Beside her, another tiny tot of third standard used to sit. The naughty girl often completed the exam of every subject in record time. What did she do with the extra time in hand? During exam there was not much scope for mischief. So she devoted her full attention to the tiny tot, sitting beside her. After solving her own papers, she helped the tiny tot.

That girl moved on to senior wing of the same school. The naughty girl had not changed much. One day she was stopped in her tracks by another girl.

    “Didi, can you recognize me?”

“I have seen you somewhere. Right now I can not place you.”

“Remember, I was sitting beside you, when I was in third standard”

    “Yes, now I remember”

“You helped me in almost each and every paper.”

    “Hummm…”

“Didi, due to that I secured first rank in the class. I never attained even 15th rank before that!”

    “Was it really so?”

“Yes. But getting first rank in the class was so invigorating, that I started studying very hard. And I still maintain my first rank in each succeeding class.”

That naughty girl and now not so tiny tot had a hearty laugh!

I never fail to smile whenever I remember that naughty girl and her mischief. She is more or less still the same. 🙂

  • Paris Hilton & Mika Brzezinski

Who is Mika Brzezinski? America cheered as Mika Brzezinski shredded her script in anger at the fanfare for the celebrity heiress.

“Brzezinski’s achievement was to raise a defiant fist in the face of one of the most powerful forces in the modern world: celebrity. Working for US cable news channel MSNBC, Brzezinski decided last week to refuse to read a news story about Paris Hilton.â€?

Where does that leave our newsreaders? The less said about them the better.

  • Sex?

    What sex does to you:

    1. Sex is a beauty treatment. Scientific tests have shown that a woman who has sexual relations produces big amounts of estrogen which makes hair shiny and soft.
    2. To make love in soft and relaxed way reduces the possibilities of suffering from dermatitis and acne. The sweat produced cleans pores and makes the skin shine.
    3. Sex is an instantaneous cure against depression. It frees endorphins in the blood flow, creating a state of euphoria and leaves us with a feeling of well-being.

If “just” sex has that much power, then prostitutes, call girls and porn actors should have the ultra smooth glowing skins with no pimples and they might have to pay no visit to psychiatrists for depression. Or maybe the researcher is talking about “love making” not plain sex.

  • A Friend in Need…

    stories at coffee table

Whenever I read,”A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed,” I always remember Tanmoy. Though I never met him face to face, but I know if I can call anyone a real friend, its Tanmoy. But today I am not going to write about his friendship.

Almost two years ago, I asked Tanmoy to allow me to publish this post “The Urban Breed of Parasitic Ditchersâ€? at my blog. I secretly wished, “Please God, let the publishers discover him and that too soon.I simply fell in love with his blog and his way of writing. But later on he stopped writing regular posts. Well all good things come to an end, that’s what I thought. But I WAS WRONG. Today, I am holding the book, “Stories at the Coffee Tableâ€? and reading Tanmoy’s story starting at page no 33. Its a damn good story with unpredictable end.

I remember one dialogue from movie “Yes Boss, “Achchon ke saath achcha hi hota hai. I agree 100%.

Keep it up Tanmoy. I wish to read more of your work in future.
